About us

Built for the people of the masjid.

Qawm is a platform for mahallu committees — and an app for the families they serve.

قومqawm
Qawm is an Arabic word for a people — a community held together.

Our purpose

A people, a community.

A masjid is more than a building. Around it lives a qawm: the families of the mahallu, the committee who serve them, the volunteers who turn up when they are needed.

Qawm exists to help those committees serve their community well — with less paperwork, clearer accounts, and more time for what matters.

What we believe

What guides the work.

  • Service to the masjid

We build what committees actually need, and we listen to the people who use it every day.

  • Privacy as a duty

A community's register is a trust. Each masjid's data is kept apart and handled with care.

  • Simplicity

If the office can't use it on a busy Friday, it isn't finished. Clear screens, plain words.

  • Built for Kerala first

Mahallu registers, Malayalam, and the way masjids here really work — from the start.

The story

Where Qawm comes from.

Qawm starts from something every mahallu knows: the membership in one book, the dues in another, the accounts in a third — kept by people who give their evenings to the work.

We wanted to give those committees one dependable place to keep it all, and every family a simple way to stay close to their masjid. We are at the beginning, and we are building alongside the masjids we serve.
